1983 Dr. James E. Wiss Class of 1968 Associate professor of physics at the University of Illinois-Urbana and a member of a Nobel Laurate team in physics
1984 Pamela A. Bruce Class of 1966 Vice President and head of government, unions, and services division at the First National Bank of Chicago.
1985 Dr. William H. Shaw Class of 1966 Associate professor of philosophy at Tennessee State University and former Fulbright Senior Lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe in Harare.
1986 Nancy E. Valenta Class of 1976 Executive producer of KNBC-TV news and winner of three Emmy awards from the Los Angeles chapter of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences.
1987 Victoria Hamburg Class of 1970 Independent film maker and free lance television producer and writer selected by Glamour magazine and acknowledged at the White House by President Reagan as one of the “Ten Outstanding Working Women of 1986.”
1988 John Joseph Robberson Class of 1969 Professional firefighter, paramedic, and chief of the fire department for the Village of Glenview.
1989 Richard A. Martin Class of 1967 Special Representative of the Attorney General at the United States embassy in Rome, Italy and formerly the lead prosecutor in the infamous “Pizza Connection Case” in New York where he secured convictions of thirty-five members of organized crime in a money laundering and drug trafficking scheme.
1990 Linda Christensen Appleby Class of 1973 Volunteer developer of an inner-city educational motivation program in Cincinnati recognized by President Bush.
1991 Robert Nichols Flint Dille Class of 1973 Producer, story editor, and writer of a wide gamut of books, comics, video games, interactive videos and motion pictures.
1992 The Honorable Kathleen J. Kroll Class of 1972 A lawyer by training and the youngest person (at age twenty-nine) ever to be elected to the bench in the State of Florida when she became a county court judge in West Palm Beach, Florida.
1993 Thomas C. Nelson Class of 1980 General partner and founder of Wakefield Group, a North Carolina-based venture capital firm, and former participant in the White House Fellowship program where he served as the Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Special Projects.
1994 Scott Buzard Class of 1969 Teacher of social studies at Glenview’s Springman Middle School and recipient of the prestigious Golden Apple from the Golden Apple Foundation for Excellence in Teaching.
1995 Dr. Julie Tetel Andresen Class of 1968 Assistant professor of linguistics and language theory at Duke University and an award-winning author of historical romance novels.
1996 Stephan J. Swanson Class of 1970 Environmentalist, naturalist, and director of The Grove, Glenview’s national historic site.
1997 Jeffrey P. Huard Class of 1972 Senior musical supervisor for Livent, Inc., of Toronto, Canada producing major musical performances in the United States, Canada, and England, and the conductor for such productions as Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Kiss of the Spiker Woman, Show Boat, and Ragtime.
1998 Kathleen A. Casey Class of 1976 Founder and director of Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, a volunteer charitable organization formed to provide for unfulfilled wishes of pediatric patients as well as grants for cancer research.
1999 Eric R. Gilliland Class of 1980 Award winning TV writer/producer of situation comedies that have included The Wonder Years, Who’s the Boss, and Roseanne.
2000 Philip M. Gattone Class of 1981 Founder and director of the Center for Epilepsy Education and presently the director of education for the Epilepsy Center at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago.
2001 Steven E. Levitan Class of 1980 Emmy Award winning TV writer/producer of Frasier and creator of Stark Raving Mad and Just Shoot Me.
2002 Ambassador Mark G. Hambley Class of 1965 Senior Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. State Department, and former Ambassador to Qatar and Lebanon.
2003 Mark Steven Shapiro Class of 1988 ESPN's executive vice-president for programming and production.
2004 Chris E. Krueger Class of 1976 Respected Dentist and Humanitarian in the Community. Active Volunteer with the American Cancer Society and the Chicago Dental Society.
2005 John W. Downing Class of 1983

Founder of the thriving search firm, WorldBridge Partners and a member of the Illinois Staffing Association and a founding member of the Illinois Venture Capital Association.

2006 Dr. Daniel Wessner Class of 1975 Professionally, he wears two hats: as a development practitioner, he is the Director of Academic Programs for Future Generations, and as an academic, he is Associate Professor of International and Political Studies at Eastern Mennonite University. His sojourn evolved into a vocation of sustainable development, inter-cultural education, and peace building.
2007 Maureen Harrington Class of 1986

Vice President for Policy and International Relations, at the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) with the responsibility for managing the annual process of selecting countries eligible for MCC assistance; executing the Threshold Program, which supports country driven efforts to improve policy performance; monitoring trends in development policy and practice; and promoting and ensuring effective donor coordination.

2008 Kristin Caskey Class of 1990 A multi-Tony Award winner for her work as a Broadway producer whose work includes One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Caroline, or Change, Legally Blonde: The Musical, and Bring It On: The Musical. Vice-President of Early Stages, a non-profit organization that fosters literacy through the arts and whose live theater ticket program brings thousands of underserved New York City youths to the theater each year.
2009 Lisa Kivirist Class of 1985 Co-author, with her husband, John Ivanko, of the award-winning business book, ECOpreneuring: Putting Purpose and the Planet Before Profits. The duo also co-authored Rural Renaissance: Renewing the Quest for the Good Life, capturing the American dream of farm living for contemporary times. A distinguished W. K. Kellogg Foundation Food & Society Policy Fellow, Ms. Kivirist’s fellowship work focuses on capturing and promoting the story and economic vitality of female farmers and rural entrepreneurs. She directs the Rural Women’s Project, a venture of the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service.
2010 Dr. Daniel Ivankovich Class of 1981

A dedicated physician, humanitarian, bluesman, and activist, with a heart as big as his frame. He has been called a “One-Man Safety Net” and “Robin Hood of Poor Hospitals.” His latest initiative is called One Patient at a Time. Its purpose is to compile resources for patients, physicians, and hospitals. With the help of numerous biomedical companies, it will serve as a clearinghouse and social media channel with the goal of removing barriers to health care so patients can get the care they need.

In March 2010, Dr. Ivankovich was named “Public Citizen of the Year” by the Chicago district of the National Association of Social Workers. A talented musician as well, he is the guitarist for the Chicago Blues All-Stars.

2011 Howard Conant Class of 1969 President and Co-Founder of Urban Innovations, a Chicago-based real estate company founded in 1978, and a political activist beginning with participation in the 1965 Alabama civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery. He is an active member of Glencoe Union Church and has participated in mission trips to Uganda, Guatemala, and New Orleans.
