The Hang Up Thrift Store for Teens

Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook has launched “the Hang Up,” a thrift store for teens created by teens. The mission for the Hang Up is to make fun, stylish, gently-used clothing and accessories available to teens in the area at affordable prices. The Hang Up is the result of a conversation between Glenbrook North senior Missy Brottman and her mom about the economy and how it was affecting families in Glenview and Northbrook. Missy came up with the idea of  a “store” that would provide fashionable clothing at affordable prices. All the proceeds of the Hang Up will go to benefit the Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook. The Hang Up is looking for donations of gently-used clothing and accessories that are in good condition. There are drop boxes in the Student Services Office at Glenbrook North High School and at The Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook. The Hang Up is located in the new Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook building. Please keep the Hang Up in mind when cleaning out your closets.
