Glenbrook North High School, which opened its doors in 1953 as Glenbrook High School, serves the village of Northbrook and has grown from 652 to 2,090 students. Glenbrook South High School, the other high school of Illinois District 225 and Glenbrook North’s sister school, educates the secondary students of Glenview, Illinois, a neighboring suburb. The two high schools together comprise a district honored state-wide and nationally for outstanding academic achievements.
